WELLINGTON, Fla. –
Today, Florida TaxWatch and the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce announced a strategic partnership that benefits the taxpaying citizens of Florida. The nature of the strategic partnership is founded on a shared vision of advancing economic vitality and sound public policy. Leaders from both organizations recognized that synergies and common interests currently exist, which can be optimized by working together to achieve their respective missions.
“Florida TaxWatch shares our values and commitment to education, advocacy and promotion of free enterprise principles in Florida,” said Julio Fuentes, founder and president of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “As our Hispanic Chamber continues to grow its influence in Tallahassee, we need a trusted partner who will provide in-depth research on various policy and economic issues affecting our membership. We’re very excited to explore and optimize our newly formalized relationship with Dominic and his prestigious membership at Florida TaxWatch.”
“The Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and its 80,000 minority-owned business owners represent billions of dollars of economic activity and impact across Florida,” said Dominic M. Calabro, President and CEO of Florida TaxWatch. “The Hispanic business community is an economic force that’s impacting not only our tax base but state public policies. We see a growing need for research that will not only assist our Chamber partner but also expose our members to a very influential segment of our state.”
The partnership will include efforts to educate Floridians about the impact of public policies, such as the upcoming Amendment 2 on the November 2018 ballot.
