Florida Taxwatch State Of The Taxpayer Dinner Shines A Spotlight On Taxpayers In The 2016 Legislative Session
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – On January 13, Florida TaxWatch, an independent nonpartisan research institute, held its State of the Taxpayer Dinner highlighting the issues affecting Florida taxpayers during the 2016 Legislative Session. The sold-out event attracted more than 140 taxpayers, business and community leaders, and lawmakers.
Attendees heard from Florida’s top elected officials including Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater, Senate President Andy Gardiner, Joint Legislative Auditing Committee Chairman Dan Raulerson and Senate Finance and Tax Committee Chairman Dorothy Hukill, all of whom laid out their goals and objectives for the next 56 days of session with a focus on serving the Sunshine State’s taxpayers.
“The State of the Taxpayer Dinner is truly the one and only event that captures what the Legislative Session is about: Florida taxpayers,” said Florida TaxWatch President and CEO Dominic M.
