Florida Taxwatch Welcomes Joe Follick As Director Of Communications and External Relations

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – To continue our mission of sharing high quality, independent research and analysis with Florida’s taxpayers and public officials, Florida TaxWatch is proud to announce Joe Follick has joined our team as Director of Communications and External Relations.

“Florida’s economy continues to grow and our leaders face historic challenges to ensure our state continues on its path toward sustainable job creation, better health outcomes, increased support services and a more highly educated workforce,” said Dominic M. Calabro, President and CEO of Florida TaxWatch. “It is critical that taxpayers have a trusted nonpartisan watchdog group to keep them informed. Joe brings rich experience in communications and media relations that will help Florida TaxWatch continue to provide and share high-quality, independent research that Florida policymakers and citizens have relied on throughout our 35-year history.”

Joe brings more than two decades of communications and media experience to Florida TaxWatch. Joe previously served for more than six years as Director of Communications for the Florida Department of Education and the Department of Children and Families.

Prior to that, Joe was a newspaper reporter for 17 years including nearly a decade in Tallahassee with the New York Times Regional Newspapers and the Tampa Tribune. He also worked at newspapers in Indiana and Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
