Florida TaxWatch Presents More Than 200 State Employees with TaxWatch Productivity Awards

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida TaxWatch (FTW) this evening awarded more than 200 state employees with TaxWatch Productivity Awards (TPA) during a ceremony held at FSU’s Turnbull Center in Tallahassee. The TPA program is celebrating 30 years of recognizing and rewarding the dedication of the state’s workforce who find ways to improve services, increase efficiencies, and save taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year. The awards were presented by Kyra Solutions, Inc.

At a Thursday, August 8 press conference with Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, FTW announced nearly 200 awards to approximately 550 employees and 17 large teams from 25 different agencies for their achievements and efforts.

Florida TaxWatch President and CEO Dominic M. Calabro shared, “For 30 years we have had the privilege to host the TaxWatch Productivity Awards program, recognizing the incredible individuals who work together to build a better Florida ensuring that state government can direct taxpayers' hard-earned money to the vital services that make the Sunshine State a great place to live, work and raise a family. This program has managed to accomplish so much in the last three decades, and I wholeheartedly believe the late J.E. Davis and A.D. Davis, co-founders of Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. and Florida TaxWatch, would be proud.”

Originally known as the Davis Productivity Awards and most recently the Prudential Productivity Awards, the TPA is a nationally unique program. Florida TaxWatch is pleased to have the support of its title sponsor Kyra Solutions, Inc.

Kyra Solutions, Inc. President and CEO Piyush Patel, Florida TaxWatch Treasurer said, “The importance of an efficient and effective government is vitally important to Florida’s economic success, yet the people who make our state run smoothly often go unrecognized, which is why Kyra Solutions is delighted to be the lead sponsor of the TaxWatch Productivity Awards as our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to such a dedicated workforce.”

Ceremonies for TPA winners in Central Florida will be held in Lakeland on Wednesday, September 18 and South Florida in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, September 19. The full list of winners and more about the program can be found here.
