Working in concert with Leon County, who created the original “Let’s Balance” game to show the challenges of balancing a local government budget, Florida TaxWatch created a state version, which relies on real-world figures to show the difficulty in balancing a state budget.
Suitable for groups large and small, the TaxWatch State Budget Game is designed to show participants that while cutting services, cutting taxes, or raising revenue may seem simple, there are always difficult choices to be made, and each choice that the legislature makes impacts real Floridians.
